The Warning Lights Are Blinking Red was written for Nežka Prosenjak, winner of the 2018 MalletLab International Online Competition.

In his novel 1984, George Orwell wrote, “The party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.” Today, truth is skewed, hidden and ignored. It can feel like we’re living in a modern day Orwellian story where truth isn’t truth, where up is down and 2+2=5. The Warning Lights Are Blinking Red is a response to the chaotic times we live in.
