Jewel Meditations, Vol. 1 (2025) was commissioned by Ron Samuels and Marimba One. This collection of five duos represents the first commissioned music for the Jewel Marimba, a new instrument invented by Ron Samuels. I am deeply honored to be asked to write this music. My time exploring and discovering the Jewel was filled with joy, excitement, and enlightenment. All but one of the pieces in the collection are named after meditation stones and reflect the energy found within each one.
