Crossed Wires (2013) is a solo percussion suite commissioned by a consortium lead by percussionist Phillip O’Banion. The piece features three movements for percussion soloist: Legerdemain, This Too Shall Pass and Karma Loop.

Legerdemain is a challenging solo that requires a great deal of coordination, requiring the player to perform drum set and vibraphone simultaneously. This Too Shall Pass is scored for solo vibraphone, showcasing the player’s sense of touch and sensitivity. Karma Loop is a live looping piece requiring amplified vibraphone, drum set, shaker, triangle, tambourine, and cajon.
