Description

Bloom weaves between minimalism and post-rock, reflecting my interest in bands like Radiohead and Explosions in the Sky. The piece features motives that are organically split and developed across the ensemble. Each performer utilizes four mallets, creating thick textures of sound.

Bloom was the 1st Prize Winner at the 2011 Percussive Arts Society’s Composition Contest.
